    Plaquenil/hydroxychloroquine and hypoglycemia" Lupus. I have been trying to figure out what would cause that blood sugar reading because I have also been having unexplained symptoms of peripheral neuropathy and wondered if the two things could be related. I found some literature that says that plaquenil can lower your blood sugar, but the stuff I found only mentioned reductions of about 5 mg/dl.
